Have you ever wanted to peal back the layers and examine how a song is constructed before it gets pressed to disk? Are you a remixer who would like to put your own spin on a song? Well here’s your chance. Below are zip files to multitrack versions of each song from my debut album “It’s About time.” These are the entire multitrack sessions in wav format. Feel free to download these and explore. If you’re a recording enthusiast , then there’s plenty here for you to comb through and pick apart. If you’re a music fan who’s always wanted to know how songs were recorded, an incredible learning experience is just a few clicks away. If you’re a remixer who would love to put your own spin on a song, or completely mangle and twist a piece of work to make it your own creation, you’ve got a whole album’s worth of material to take a crack at. If you remix one of my songs, I invite you to submit it via yousendit or ftp link to my email address found on the main page. I will put it up on a special remix page for all to hear. Each song is made available in 2 versions: vocal only, and full. The vocal versions only contain the 3 or 4 vocal tracks, while the full versions contain the vocal tracks plus all the instruments. There’s also a file called “All Vocals” which contain the vocal tracks for all songs in one zip file. There’s even a file called “All Full” that contains all 2+ gigs of multitracks for those who don’t want to download individual songs. One final note for people who are new to the concept of multitracks. Some files either start later in the song, or only have 1 or 2 musical phrases at certain parts, so if you don’t hear anything immediately, don’t worry. The files aren’t broken. Enjoy.
