Thanks so much for your consideration in helping me release my upcoming album “Headspace.” The writing and recording process has spanned the last 2 years. It has been a time of trial and triumph, seclusion and rebirth. It has been a long arduous process. With your help, the album will finally see the light of day. Your funding will be used for recording, including studio and production costs, mixing, mastering, artwork, pressing, production of documentary, a website redesign, and a small PR campaign.
By donating, you will also be placed on a VIP email list where you will receive exclusive behind the sceens audio and video content during the recording of the album. No one else will see or hear this material until the album is released.
If you are not yet familiar with my music, I invite you to stream or download my debut album (released May 2006) entitled “It’s About Time.

Thanks so much for your time and consideration of supporting my project.

+ The Project FAQ's
Q. Why are you asking people for money to help you release your album?
A. Releasing an album costs money. While it doesn't cost $150k like it did years ago, it still costs several thousand to record and release a product. Through the use of crowd funding,, I am giving you, my friends, a chance to help put this project out. Through the use of public funding like this, it insures that the album comes out in a timely fashion.
Q. What will the money be used for?
A. I'm putting the money directly to hiring session players, recording, mixing, mastering, artwork, a website layout, filming and editing a documentary, and promotion.
Q. What if the project doesn't get released?
A. Not gonna happen. I'm the artist, producer, and project manager. I insure it's release.
Q. How is this launch different from your kickstarter that you were promoting?
A. I'm using a plugin on my website in conjunction with Paypal to handle the processing of payments and general number crunching and infrastructure that goes along with a task like this. I've completely eliminated the middleman. When you choose to back this project, the funding goes straight to me immediately. This is very helpful because as soon as I start receiving funding, I'll start funneling it to the proper folks and the recording process can start immediately.
Q. I noticed that the Kickstarter project didn't meet it's goal. Did you get any of the money?
A. No. Anyone who backed the project wasn't charged at all.
Q. What happens if you don't meet your goal this time?
A. Since the funding comes straight to me, I will have received all the money thus far. I'll be able to change funding goal and end date as needed until the project is fully funded.
Q. I don't have a paypal account. Can I still back your project?
A. Absolutely. There is a buttone right on the paypal page which will allow them to take your credit card info.
+ Updates
Phase 1 of album tracking complete, and a chance to sing on the record.
Just wanted to give you all an update on the album's progress and let you know about a cool opportunity for you to lend your voice to one of the tracks.
Firstly, phase 1 of the album's tracking has been completed.
Ian Baird has done a fantastic job with tracking bass and drums.
I'm extremely pumped about how this record is slowly taking shape, and I hope you will be too.
I've posted a short update vid, (Also shown in the player on this page), which shows some recording footage and explains how far we've come and how far we've yet to go. Thanks to Ian and Brian Ratcliffe for engineering, filming, editing, etc.
This has all been made possible by your donations. We've surpassed 2600, and have now set a small goal of 1250 to pay for the recording of guitars.
If you haven't yet donated, I invite you to please consider making a small donation to further help this process along.
Lastly, I'm inviting you all to sing on a track on the upcoming album. If you've got the basic means for recording, and a desire to sing in what I hope will be a giant internet choir, click here to learn more. All the information for recording and submission is there.
Thanks so much for once again opening your inbox to me and supporting my music.
